DISCUSSION
The recipe for success involves sleepless nights, blood, sweat, tears, countless setbacks and often an empty wallet. Without all of those elements it would be hard to say you’ve earned your spot, your place among the hard working warriors who push the limits every single day. When we were approached by our client to create a modified racing vehicle that incorporated all of these elements and still handled like a proven track vehicle, we knew we had to push our own limits and truly explore that infinite realm of limitless creativity that we are so passionate about.
DEVELOPMENT
With every automotive rendering we engage in we always start from the ground up. In this instance, our client had an existing Porsche 911 GT3 they wanted to use as a canvas to capture their time on the track. Gritty, roughed up, hard working and driven to the limit were details he wanted to incorporate into a unique wrap. Starting with the wheels and stance, we stripped the Porsche down to bare bones and set it on 18″ Brixton lightweight wheels and Nitto track tires. We added scooped front fenders to allow for more tire clearance, carbon fiber skirts and winglets for additional help with downforce and then started working on the wrap design. Our client wanted to incorporate a nostalgic Need For Speed graphic but take it to the next level as if you were to find this Porsche covered in dirt and grime at the back of an old garage. We added various elements and decay you might find on other track vehicles, tinted the windows and front lights and finally added a new radiator up front. It was only fitting to then put this Porsche in a background that fits the style…gritty, roughed up, and driven to the limit!
DELIVERY
There will always be a place for clean, classic sports cars just like a traditional Porsche 911 GT3, but being able to take that blank canvas and really make it turn heads is a form of design we truly enjoy working with. We’re interested to see just how much further our client is able to take this project now that his vision has been brought to life.
